Coach Mya, Swim Instructor & Drowning Prevention Specialist

Personalized, at-home instruction for children 2.5 to 7 years old

To ensure the highest level of quality and efficiency, I limit my schedule to 3-4 families per day. This allows me to maintain a boutique experience where the student is the sole focus.

Before Reaching Out, Please Note:

1. •16-lesson Commitment: I exclusively offer 16-lesson blocks (scheduled twice-a-week). This is the minimum required for real skill retention.
   

1. •Service Area: I travel to private, heated home pools in the Pasadena, Arcadia, La Cañada, and San Marino area.
   

1. •Pool Requirements:
   

2. -Depth: Your pool should be 8 feet deep or deeper at the
   

deep end to safely teach diving skills from the edge of the pool deck (no mini pools or above ground pools, etc.).

1. -Temperature: The pool water must be heated to 88-92˚F
   

1. •Peak Demand: Mid-summer afternoon slots (4:00-5:00 PM) reach capacity first due to summer schedules. If you require these specific hours, I recommend reaching out in January or February. For families with flexibility, morning and sunset time slots offer a tranquil, focused environment.

2026 Wave Set

The season is structured into three 8-week “waves”. Time slots are placed on hold upon receipt of a deposit and are officially reserved once the remaining balance is paid.

1. •Wave 1: April - May 29 (Now Booking | Ideal for water safety prep before travel)
   

1. •Wave 2: June - August 14 (Limited Availability | All Wave 2 lessons must conclude by August 14)
   

1. •Wave 3: August 17 - October 16 (Now Booking | Perfect for after summer vacation and new home move-ins)

2. •Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM

Vacation & Make-up Policies:

1. •The 8 Week Block: 16-lesson packages are designed to be completed within 8 weeks.
   

2. •Vacation Exception: I can accommodate one (1) pre-planned vacation week per package. This extends your completion window to a maximum of 9-weeks.
   

3. •One Courtesy Make-up: Each 16-lesson package includes one free make-up lesson (with 24-hour advanced notice). To ensure skill retention, this must be scheduled and completed within your 8-9 week window and cannot extend past your Wave’s cutoff date.
   

4. •Additional Lessons: If more than one lesson is missed, additional lessons may be purchased to ensure the student completes the program, provided there is a time slot available in the schedule before your Wave cutoff.

The 16-Lesson Package: $2992

1. •Instruction: Sixteen 60-minute swimming lessons at your home pool.
   

1. •Split Lessons: Each 60-minute lesson can be split into two 30-minute private lessons for two students.
   

1. •Make-ups: One free courtesy make-up date is included per 16-lesson package.
   

1. •Deposit & Reservation: A $300 non-refundable deposit holds your time slots (applies to total balance). Your schedule is officially reserved and locked in once the remaining balance is paid.
   

1. •Minimum: Lessons must be scheduled for twice-a-week minimum.
   

1. •Service Area: Includes all travel within Arcadia, Pasadena, La Cañada, and San Marino.
   

Eight 60-minute swim lessons: No longer available.

One 60-minute swim lesson: No longer available.

New Clients:

Read the FAQ page, bio page and this page. Then email me with your general location and your preferred “wave” + time of day + 2 weekdays.

Continuing Clients:

Contact me directly with your preferred time slots, and we will go from there. Commitment deposit due upon scheduling.

VIP and Celebrity Swim Training

I am open to teaching swimming and water safety to kind, friendly and cooperative VIPs and celebrities. Contact me if you are a boutique or luxury hotel concierge, production manager, personal assistant, etc., in need of a seasoned pro swim instructor and down-to-earth swim training.

I have experience working in the film and music industries and have taught swim training and water safety classes to several VIPs and celebrities in the Los Angeles area. I do not get star-struck and am friendly, professional and respectful. Hotels I’ve taught at include Sunset Marquis in West Hollywood and The Ritz-Carlton in Downtown Los Angeles.
